Just as a warning, it seems that the OPENRD box is also affected by the same issue.

I was able to recover using the install images at http://d-i.debian.org/daily-images/armel/daily/kirkwood/netboot/marvell/openrd/ to restart the box (put the images on a USB key, then start the installer) and then follow the same instruction to upgrade the kernel in SID (3.12.8).

Agreed, but I'll leave the task to someone more experienced of the
Debian wiki than me :)
