Thanks Martin, used the images above and it completed the install fine
this time.
However I am having trouble booting! Any advice appreciated.

Now, I partitioned with ext4 - is that the issue? I have tried
mmc_init once and twice as above. /boot is a separate partition so the
bootcmd_mmc var is correct.
