Re: Debian NSLU2 Bootloader & we've got MythTV on a DebianSlug!

I think I read too much into the script you mentioned earlier...

debian-sda1.bin contains a kernel but also a ramdisk you need to boot
from USB.  Changing it isn't trivial at the moment... there is a
script now to take a Debian kernel, generate a ramdisk and flash it -
but the Ethernet driver for the NSLU2 is currently non-free so that's
not included.

Thought it was in the nslu2 MasterMake file (that and it's released on slug-firmware.net alongside the other two firmwares built from that make file)...

so is the "debianslug" target the other nslu2 debian slug port (aka open debian slug) from http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/DebianSlug/OpenDebianSlug?

is there anything I can do to help build the kernel?  could I improve the build script for you, so that it pulls down the intel ipx400 stuff (or at least make it incorporate the intel stuff its dropped into a downloads directory like they do for openslug/unslung)?

Cheers,

-Garth

Sorry, I know this is confusing, but debianslug is not the same with
as Debian with debian-installer... anyway, I finally updated the
kernel config yesterday and the kernel should get uploaded today or
tomorrow so I can then prepare new images soon.
