Wouldn't seperate usb controllers have independant bandwidth?
Going through a hub could be bad, unless it is one of the nicer usb 2
hubs that can deal with multiple usb1 devices efficiently (I think I
read some can do that).
A 4 or 5 port usb card isn't expensive after all.
