How am I supposed to upgrade my netwinder?

Yo!

After a successfull install on my netwinder, I'm trying to upgrade it to
more current software.

There is a little dependency problem, though, when I want to do it by Debian
packages alone:

upgrading to libc6/testing lands me on the llseek problem (search google for
'llseek hell'. So I need to upgrade to a 2.4 kernel first. But:

~# apt-get install kernel-image-2.4.19-netwinder
...
kernel-image-2.4.19-netwinder: Depends: coreutils (>= 5.0) but it is not going to be installed
coreutils: PreDepends: libacl1 (>= 2.2.11-1) but 2.0.8-1 is to be installed
PreDepends: libattr1 (>= 2.4.4-1) but 2.0.7-1 is to be installed
PreDepends: libc6 (>= 2.3.2-1) but 2.2.5-11.5 is to be installed

So I've got to install a newer libc to install the newer kernel so that my
new libc doesn't break my system :-/

Is there an 'official' way to do this upgrade?

I see kernel-image-2.4.16 is old enough to not depend on the newer
coreutils, so I will try that now. But it would be nice to be able to
do this in one step.

cheers
