Bug#926400: libapr1-dbd-mysql: apache fails to start if dbd with mysql is used
Package: libaprutil1-dbd-mysql
Version: 1.6.1-3+b2
Severity: important
Hi,
apache2ctl start leads to this error message:
AH00526: Syntax error on line 19 of /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/mydomain.conf:
Can't load driver file apr_dbd_mysql.so
Action 'start' failed.
The Apache error log may have more information.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
I installed the libaprutil1-dbd-mysql package when I realized that it is
missing. However the issue remains.
The configuration is close to the one documented at the apache site (with the mysql driver of course):
https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/mod_authn_dbd.html
This jira issue suggests that this is because of the downstream mariadb
libraries (and mysql libraries are fine in comparison).
https://jira.mariadb.org/browse/MDEV-15220
In this current form this might be considered as an release-critical issue for buster.
Regards,
Tamas
