Error installing package Drupal7

I have to admit that I did succeed installing this package on this same computer, but afterward I purged it because I was not satisfied with the convoluted install on /usr/share, Debian says that default location is /var/www//html.
I could not install there either, once I got to the stage of configuring database I was going in a loop: entering correct username and password for db, I was returned to same page without any error message, and DB was created.
I could install the normal way on a different computer, but never on this one.
I have tried lengthily to compare config files with the Kompare application, and could not find anything significant.
The apache2 error.log does not show anything helpful.
apache2ctl configtest show syntax OK, server starts normally.
I used virtualization on both computers, on the old 32-bit one it worked, but not in amd64.
Installed also failed without virtualization, virtualization works, I have a test site for that.
Here is some info about my system:

This is the same config on the working 32-bit.
Here is a snapshot of the error:

Something is misconfigured but I cannot figure out what it is.
Thank you,
