Package: apache2 Version: 2.4.4-2 Severity: wishlist I would just like to note that during upgrade the user's httpd.conf is thrown away as if there is no danger he had customized it. Also whatever messages you were trying to tell the user upon apt-get upgrade flies off the screen and is not stored anywhere.

We only throw it away when it was not modified. See yourself: http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-apache/apache2.git;a=blob;f=debian/apache2.postinst;h=23b2ff35a75fdc892e7ebceaf588be7835db6ed0;hb=refs/heads/next#l313 Apart, it's about time to get rid of httpd.conf. It's unused and deprecated since Debian Etch (unless I'm mistaken on that one). > Also whatever messages you were trying to tell the user upon apt-get > upgrade flies off the screen and is not stored anywhere. What messages do you mean? Messages from apt/maintainer scripts are not logged indeed. If you believe this is an issue, you may want to talk to dpkg maintainers. If you mean our output from a2enmod etc: look to your syslog. Hence I'm closing the bug here if you don't mind as I don't see any more issues raised. -- with kind regards, Arno Töll IRC: daemonkeeper on Freenode/OFTC GnuPG Key-ID: 0x9D80F36DAttachment: signature.asc
