found 500558 1.4.6-1 thanks This bugs also breaks apache2 when my laptop is disconnected from the LAN - which is kind of awkward, since it's a local testing server not to be accessed from the outside at all. It seems that network manager (or some other component) leaves eth0 with IPv6, but no IPv4 address after unplugging the cable. Kind regards, Ralf
