Bug#497534: apache2.2-common: /etc/init.d/apache2 / apache2ctl not reporting error return code when apache2 segfaults

I guess because it's still reading the conf file... and has not yet
setup the logging infrastructure ?

I tried to start :
 APACHE_RUN_USER=www-data APACHE_RUN_GROUP=www-data apache2 -e debug -k start
but that doesn't help (-e flag) :(

Dunno of apache internals to provide more useful comments, I suppose.
