Bug#470178: apxs2: Installed modules are not available in /etc/apache2/mods-available
Package: apache2-prefork-dev
Version: 2.2.8-1
Severity: normal
Hello,
After installing a module with:
/usr/bin/apxs2 -i -n mymod mod_mymod.la
the module gets installed into:
/usr/lib/apache2/modules
but is not available in
/etc/apache2/mods-available
Now I may have missed some part of the documentation but its not clear
whether one should manually copy the file to /etc/apache2/modules
or rather create a symlink for there to /usr/lib/apache2/modules
Also the -a option reports:
apxs:Error: Activation failed for custom /etc/apache2/httpd.conf file..
apxs:Error: At least one `LoadModule' directive already has to exist..
Maybe comment about where the configuration file for the module should
be created could also be added to apxs2 man page.
Thanks for consideraton,
David Ayers
