Is it safe to purge apache2-common?
After installing apache2.2-common I'm left with apache2-common in
state "install config-files":
$ dpkg -l | grep apache | cut -b-70
ic apache2-common 2.0.55-4.1 next generation,
ii apache2-mpm-prefork 2.2.3-2 Traditional model
ii apache2-utils 2.2.3-2 utility programs
ii apache2.2-common 2.2.3-2 Next generation,
ii libapache2-mod-perl2 2.0.2-2.2 Integration of pe
ii libapache2-mod-php4 4.4.4-3 server-side, HTML
In light of recent reports of symlinks being removed[1], and
the statement that apache2.2 takes care of it if apache2 is
*not* purged[2], is it now safe to purge apache2-common?
Thanks,
