Package: apache2-common
Version: 2.0.52-3
Severity: normal
Dear maintainers,
In the stop function of /etc/init.d/apache2, there is a line like this:
$APACHE2 -k stop
Is this "-k" flag ok ? When I look at $APACHE2 -h, I don't see the
-k switch.
This line is causing problems when I shutdown an UML machine with the
apache2 package installed and not running nor configured. The shutdown
process hangs and I have to kill the UML processes from outside.
Maybe is this line deprecated ? Should it be removed ?
Kind regards,
Xavier

Are you sure you have enough entropy available in your UML instance?
If not, stopping apache can sometimes take a long time due to the
apache -t which is run as part of the stop process.
Also, -k is now documented in the -h output.
