what's wrong with #350119 ?

Hi all,

I provided a patch (#350119) to fix #342008 and improve PidFile search. This
patch wasn't used and the init.d problem is still bugging me (and others, i
guess) on non-patched systems.

Can you tell me what's wrong with it ? can i help ? do i have to give it up ?
just a sign ....

anyway : thanks for the great and usefull work you do with this package.
