Package: apache2 Version: 2.0.54-3 Severity: normal We just had the problem that someone deleted a file in sites-available without disabling the site first, or deleting the link from sites-enabled. As a consequence, the next logrotate took down the apache2 server. This is at least as much our problem as it is in apache, but I think that apache2 should warn about "missing files" (broken links) in sites-enabled and mod-enabled, but still start and not just fail. In environments with many virtual hosts, a fault in one host's configuration might essentially disable many other hosts too. This can and should be prevented.
