silly init script borkedness

/etc/init.d/apache: 2: env -i LANG=C PATH=/bin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/usr/sbin /usr/sbin/apachectl: not found
invoke-rc.d: initscriptapache,action"start"failed.
dpkg: error processing apache (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 127

also, /bin/bash for an init script? WTH? please, get rid of bashism.

(yes, i'm bashing bash :)

i used the old init script, since it leaked /etc/runlevel.conf stuff all
over the screen when it was attempting to start up, like:

[: 410: 39 - S /etc/init.d/ifupdown : bad number
[: 410: 40 - 0,6 /etc/init.d/umountfs : bad number
[: 410: 40 - S /etc/init.d/hostname.sh : bad number
[: 410: 40 - S /etc/init.d/networking : bad number
[: 410: 41 - S /etc/init.d/portmap : bad number

and such nonsense.

seems it's still doing it.

why can't you just leave it like it was? it was working, right? *sigh*

sorry to seem bitchy about this, but i don't want to piss people off
here, i'm just frustrated with the recent weirdnesses. too many too
fast.

hugs
simon
(i'm not subbed to the list)
