Bug#220359: apache: intermittent bus error on attempt to load some filess
Package: apache
Version: 1.3.27.0-2
Severity: normal
Client side:
| tomg@geek:~$ wget -S http://geek.em.ca/library/literature/Goulet,_Tom/Time_Traveller/1.text
| --05:26:17-- http://geek.em.ca/library/literature/Goulet,_Tom/Time_Traveller/1.text
| => `1.text'

| HTTP request sent, awaiting response...
| 05:26:17 ERROR -1: No data received.
Server side:
| [Wed Nov 12 05:26:18 2003] [notice] child pid 552 exit signal Bus error (7)
The failures are intermittent but there seem to be a couple patterns
which I don't really want to discern until I have more disposable
sanity.
The file is actually on an SMB share to another GNU/Linux box, if that
matters.
Expected behaviour: The Apache process should deliver the file and not
crash.
