I must admit that I don't know much about dpkg, but it might be beneficial to set exact version dependancy (= rather than >=) so things don't break in the future. Thanks.This simply cannot be done otherwise each time there is a perl upload we need an apache upload.
Again, I'm not that friendly with dpkg, but that may not be necessary if you could set dependancy on the perl version proper. Perl tipically gets a new (major) release every two years or so, followed by the minor release in about six months time. If you can avoid perl package version dependancy, that's not too often.
