When requested through an http proxy, PHP scripts listed as
DirectoryIndex files (eg. index.php) are given the appropriate MIME type
(application/x-httpd-php), but are not interpreted by the PHP
preprocessor. This results in the PHP source being served.

This behaviour is not observed for the same files when they are
explicity refered to rather than just giving the directory name.
