Dear Maintainer,
While using a debian preseed file to automate the installation of our
servers I was surprised to discover that EFI partitions are not
formatted, even if format{} is specified in the partman config. From
examining the source code I see this decision was made in response to
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/partman-efi/+bug/769669.
I think the rationale for not formatting makes sense when interactively
installing debian. However, for automated installs I think the
assumption can be made that the user is aware of the dangers of
formatting a partition.
Would it be possible to respect the partman format directive in the case
of automated installs?
Thanks for maintaining partman, yours kindly Jesse Hathaway
