Did you uninstall all third party packages?

The usual suspect is the nvidia driver BUT only after the upgrade?
Anyway if I downgrade this packages X works and conversely if I upgrade it the X fail.

X start normally but when I click in the greeting login of kdm X restart and in some times freeze the machine...
If I only type the password all seems to start and after some seconds fail.
For failsafe xterm works even kwin (with effects) and chromium but if I start konsole I get a corrupt diplay and a crash of X...Do you know the cause or have any ideas?Thanks in advance.
