Hi, recently an HP DL165 G5 arrived, it has a raid 1 of two 250GB disks, is an X4. It usually freezes every two days, it still doesn't have a heavy load, there are only one message we've seen so far on the boot process: [ 0.004000] Your BIOS doesn't leave a aperture memory hole [ 0.004000] Please enable the IOMMU option in the BIOS setup [ 0.004000] This costs you 64 MB of RAM [ 0.004000] Mapping aperture over 65536 KB of RAM @ 4000000 [ 0.004000] PM: Registered nosave memory: 0000000004000000 - 0000000008000000 [ 0.004000] Memory: 6125516k/6946816k available (2225k kernel code, 165100k reserved, 1079k data, 392k init) [ 0.004000] CPA: page pool initialized 1 of 1 pages preallocated We haven't found the option on the Bios, should we pass a kernel parameter on booting? It's kernel is Linux devinvytec 2.6.26-1-amd64 #1 SMP Thu Oct 9 14:16:53 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux We already applied a Bios upgrade but the freezing persists, what logs should we look at to track down this issue? And if there is more info I can give in order to find a solution, please don't hesitate to ask. We already ran the diagnostics utility that came with the machine and it worked flawlessly. Thanks in advance, and by the way, happy new year to you all. -- Recomiendo SLEC, la comunidad del software de libre redistribución y educación en Colombia http://www.slec.net
