It worked until last update. Debian unstable.
Is this a known issue ? I can't find anything online.
In the past, issues mostly were related to nvidia glx. However, this case, it launches ok, and only after the first few frames it hangs, then suddenly disappears (signal 11, SEGV).
I could post the error log but it's definitely is not meant for users (only numbers.)

It's
# Machine: x86_64
# Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-amd64 (custom)
# Debian GNU/Linux lenny/sid
libc6 2.7-9
libc6-dev 2.7-9
libc6-i386 2.7-9
nspluginwrapper 0.9.91.5-2
nvidia-glx 169.09-1
nvidia-glx-ia32 169.09-1
nvidia-kernel-2.6.24-1-amd64 169.09-1+2.6.24-4
nvidia-kernel-common 20051028+1-0.1
nvidia-kernel-source 169.09-1
nvidia-settings 1.0+20070502-1
nvidia-xconfig 1.0+20070502-1
xserver-xorg	1:7.3+10
xserver-xorg-core	2:1.4.1~git20080131-2
xutils	1:7.3+10
libx11-6	2:1.0.3-7

I don't know how to find out the gE version (it's the online user installation) but it should be the most recent version. make-google-earth-package would create googleearth_4.2.205.5730+0.5.3-1_amd64.deb -- when i install that one, the same happens.
