I would assume, that there is the package nvidia-glx (nvidia-glx-ia32)
missing. Is it installed?

Hm, what should I do to get the freeze? I have a GeForce 8500 GT and the
following packages installed (IA32 version is for wine):
17:56 $dpkg -l | grep nvidia
ii nvidia-glx 100.14.11-1
NVIDIA binary Xorg driver
ii nvidia-glx-dev 100.14.11-1
NVIDIA binary Xorg driver development files
ii nvidia-glx-ia32 100.14.11-1
NVIDIA binary XFree86 4.x driver
ii nvidia-kernel-2.6.21 100.14.11-1+2.6.21-10.00.Custom
NVIDIA binary kernel module for Linux 2.6.21
ii nvidia-kernel-common 20051028+1
NVIDIA binary kernel module common files
ii nvidia-kernel-source 100.14.11-1
NVIDIA binary kernel module source
ii nvidia-settings 1.0+20070502-1
Tool of configuring the NVIDIA graphics driv

I am playing OpenGL-Games and playing them under wine. I do not have any
problems with the stability.
