DVD burning stop to work...PLEASE HELP ME!!!

	Hi.

I'm really don't known waht to do. I have looked on google for a solution but
nothing...

I have a LG DVD+RW burner(GSA-4167B DL10) tha was work for so long. But now
the growisofs program does not burn aanything anymore. The progrma report an
error when calling 'builtin_dd'.

Below is the command used by K3B:
/usr/bin/growisofs -Z /dev/hdc=/dev/fd/0 -use-the-force-luke=notray
-use-the-force-luke=tty -use-the-force-luke=tracksize:2180489 -dvd-compat
-speed=8 -overburn -use-the-force-luke=bufsize:40m
And below the erro message:

Executing 'builtin_dd if=/dev/fd/0 of=/dev/hdc obs=32k seek=0'
/dev/hdc: "Current Write Speed" is 8.2x1385KBps.
:-[ WRITE@LBA=10h failed with SK=3h/ASC=0Ch/ACQ=00h]: Input/output error
:-( write failed: Input/output error
/dev/hdc: flushing cache
/dev/hdc: updating RMA
/dev/hdc: closing disc

So have go to find waht is happening...
My first guess is my writer but a really not do something to har it,ans
nothing else was happen like eletrical failures on my home nor mechanical
'chocks'. So a try to see waht is wrong on permissions or everything else.

CD/DVD burning progrmas like cdrecord and cdrda are on 'setsuid' schema:

I belong to the cdrom(24) group.

To me, the first 'freak' thing is that 'dev=ATAPI:' work in a nearly past(no
more than one month).

The uniq line that works to find the writes is
cdrecord dev=/dev/hdc -scanbus:

I really want known whyt the ATAPI does not work anymore. TO the problem is
connected with this, but I not known how.

This thing happens with kernel 2.6.15-1 for amd64-k8 and for 2.5.16-rc4.
	The relevant modules are:
	user@host~: lsmod | grep ide
ide_cd 40224 0

	Som more notes...Oh God....

	K3b recognize the writer correctly> The writing modes(DVD-R,DVD-RW, DVD+R,
DVD+RW, CD...) too.

dvd+rw-mediainfo returns correct meida info, and K3B too.
