There was a problem with RTC inthe past with Debian depending the way the kernel is built:
<M> Enhanced Real Time Clock Support < > Generic /dev/rtc emulation I've this setup, this means: CONFIG_RTC=m # CONFIG_GEN_RTC is not set Then maybe you have to insert the module early in the boot process.
