I cannot install synaptic on unstable. I got with "apt-get install synaptic":

synaptic: Depend: libapt-pkg-libc6.3-6-3.10 not installable

Your problem is related to it:

#1  0x000000306e42a024 in ReadConfigDir () from /usr/lib/libapt-
pkg-libc6.3-6.so.3.10
#2  0x000000306e44fa8f in pkgInitConfig () from /usr/lib/libapt-
pkg-libc6.3-6.so.3.10

You must wait libapt-pkg-libc updating, I suppose.
