works like a charm here for weeks now.
it's 6.8.2 + patch from Suse I took from xorg bugzilla to cache some X
generated stuff iirc (mkdir ~/.compose-cache/ to use the patch at
runtime). The patch is supposed to speed up loading of apps ;)
