MB report: Tyan Thunder K8W S2885 (sound and sata problems)

Hi all,

as mentioned on [1] Tyan Thunder K8W S2885 is working. For me this is mostly.
SATA is only working for the first device, second and third are not working.
With the 2.6.10 kernel (-9-amd64-k8-smp deb) it now correctly recognizes the
02 revision:

> lspci | grep SATA
0000:03:0b.0 RAID bus controller: Silicon Image, Inc. (formerly CMD Technology
Inc) SiI 3114 [SATALink/SATARaid] Serial ATA Controller (rev 02)

But it does not find the second HD, nor the SATA DVD rewriter:

> cat /proc/scsi/scsi
Attached devices:
Host: scsi1 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: ATA Model: Maxtor 6B200M0 Rev: BANC
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 05

Sound used to work, until last week, with an apt-get upgrade this
functionality got lost. The driver mentioned on [1] is loaded:

> lsmod | grep snd
snd_seq_midi 9984 0
snd_rawmidi 28128 1 snd_seq_midi
snd_seq_oss 36480 0
snd_seq_midi_event 9792 2 snd_seq_midi,snd_seq_oss
snd_seq 59904 5 snd_seq_midi,snd_seq_oss,snd_seq_midi_event
snd_seq_device 10320 4 snd_seq_midi,snd_rawmidi,snd_seq_oss,snd_seq
snd_pcm_oss 57892 0
snd_mixer_oss 20288 1 snd_pcm_oss
snd_intel8x0 36032 1
snd_ac97_codec 81632 1 snd_intel8x0
snd_pcm 105352 4 snd_pcm_oss,snd_intel8x0,snd_ac97_codec
snd_timer 27272 2 snd_seq,snd_pcm
snd 60232 11
snd_rawmidi,snd_seq_oss,snd_seq,snd_seq_device,snd_pcm_oss,snd_mixer_oss,snd_intel8x0,snd_ac97_codec,snd_pcm,snd_timer
soundcore 12000 2 i810_audio,snd
snd_page_alloc 12168 2 snd_intel8x0,snd_pcm

I've tried unloading the OSS modules as that was mentioned somewhere, but
choosing auto/oss/also in KDE control center all crashes...

Ideas?

Egon
