Net Instal CD - AMD64

I can't boot the Net instal CD
When I insert the Net installer CD
I get the follow error message

Kernel linux not found
BOOT (prompt):

- if I type "linux" (Enter), I obtain the same message

- if I type "/instal/vmlinuz root=/dev/cdrom" (enter)
  it run, but after I obtain another error message
  
  VFS Cannot open root device...
  Please append a correct "root=" boot option
  kernel panic: VFS unable to mount foor fs on....
