Re: ldap problem

I've had it working for several months. Can you log in via a console?
if so does your pam.d/ssh file use commonauth?
if not does your commonauth file use pam_ldap?

Hi All,

Has anyone successfully set up a box w/ ldap authentication (instead
of passwd files or NIS) on the amd64 port? We've got a working
installation on our 386 boxes, but when I move those same
configuration files over to the amd64 ones, I'm unable to log in.

I've installed nscd, libnss-ldap, libpam-ldap, & autofs-ldap.
Automounting, getent, etc works perfectly (even via SSL). So ldap is
definately working. But whenever I try to login via ssh, it hangs.

Running debug mode on sshd shows that the authentication step
completes. Ssh then just hangs. It looks like it does so right when
it would load a pam session module. Has anyone run into this before?

If not, what would be the best way of debugging pam? The debug option
you can set isn't very verbose.

Many thanks in advance for any advice.
