It changes the mouse cursor to busy and back to normal each time it generates a trumbnail. As a result, the cursor gets changed as many times as there are pages in your pdf. The X server bug[1] I'm talking about here could be described like this: an allocated _animated_ cursor is not freed even when calling the appropriate free function against it. Having in mind that 'busy' cursors are the ones usually animated, gpdf should exploit the bug in high rates. However, the bug still applies to Mozilla Firefox and other programs which tend to change cursors quite frequently.
