Gigabyte GA-K8VT800 Pro

Hallo.
I found that although the Mobo Gigabyte GA-K8VT800 Pro appears at the 
compactibility list at 
https://alioth.debian.org/docman/view.php/30192/27/mainboards.html ,
mine ITE GigaRAID will not work with the default intalation.
#lspci :

0000:00:0e.0 RAID bus controller: Integrated Technology Express, Inc. 
IT/ITE8212 Dual channel ATA RAID controller (PCI version seems to be 
IT8212, embedded seems (rev 13 )

(snapshot given with self compiled kernel 2.6.8 + ite patch )

What can you said about the kernel support to this device ??
