Great! Join the club! read these howtos: --quote from previous mail list message-- I have written this a few times yet not too clearly so again: ------------------------- 1. Here is the official Debian AMD64 HOWTO: http://alioth.debian.org/docman/view.php/30192/21/debian-amd64-howto.html 2. Find the CD images. The netinst and monolithic are easy to use. http://debian-amd64.alioth.debian.org/install-images/ 3. Choose to install sid or sarge. 4. Download an iso and burn to a CD. Reboot off the CD. 5A. For a sarge-amd64-netinst.iso use this /etc/apt/sources.list or a mirror: deb http://debian-amd64.alioth.debian.org/debian-pure64 sarge main contrib non-free 5B. For a sid-amd64-netinst.iso use this /etc/apt/sources.list or a mirror: deb http://debian-amd64.alioth.debian.org/pure64 sid main contrib non-free 6. There are many more possibilities, maybe more complicated too. ----quote end---- Best of luck Andrei On Wed, 2005-03-16 at 17:18 +0100, N-0-X (http://noxistes.org) wrote: > Hello. > I have a computer which has an amd64 3000+ as processor, and i've been > waiting for a while for the next debian which supports AMD64s.
