Since a recent upgrade of php4 (libapache-mod-php4), apache starts, but won't fork, connect to it's port, write to log files or create a pidfile. If I remove phpmod from modules.conf, it does all those thing as it should. I'm running out of gcc-3.4. The module is dated March 6, version 4.3.10-9.0.0.1.gcc4.
