gcc-3.3 changelog[1], version 1:3.3.3ds5-2 released 6 Mar 2004

    - On amd64, don't imply 3DNow! for -m64 by default

pure64 should run on all em64t systems too, but so far only the
installer is known to (lack of machines to test on) - I personally
don't know of any running debian-pure64 installation on a nocona xeon
box.
