installation report: 20040706 images broken

Hi,

Yesterday I tried the new d-i images for debian-amd64 again.
Unfortunately I was not able to finish the installation with either the
netboot, nor the netinst images from 20040706.
Both stranded at the point were the base-system ought to be installed.

Still present was the strange difference in detecting my NIC between the
netboot (which didn't detect it, but showed me a list to select it[0]) and
netinst (which did detect it).
Another (new IIRC) difference in this stage was that the netboot image
warned me it could not find a default route, but worked ok if I ingnored
it and the netinst never showed that message and worked ok.

I'll try again this weekend if there are new images available.

[0] I'm using a Asus K8V SE deluxe with a A64 3200+ and the sk98lin module
works for me.
