static grub and lilo packages?

Hi folks,

Would it be possible to add static linked versions of grub and
lilo to the amd64 package pool?

Currently the dynamic versions depend upon libc6-i386, which
gives me about 24 MByte in the /emul directory. Just for the
boot loader installation program?
