If an alpha porter want to tackle this bug, you are free to do so. I
won't be likely to spend time on it myself, as there are many various
other important bugs to fix in the current packages, and alpha not being
a target architecture for squeeze, I lack the incentive to prioritize
this issue in my TODO list.
