Update notifier with KDE

Hi,

next question:

I'm running etch in my AS500 with KDE and installed the package
update-notifier. Update-Manager runs o.k., but the notifier not.
What must i do get the notifier active with kde and see an icon
in the system tray to get notified when updates available or not?
