Floppy under Etch

Hi,

my soundcard problem is history now, i've deactivated this strange
MSS-Board an put an old SB-Live in my AS500, and see.. everything works
fine! :-) Now i have an other question:
How can i get my 3-1/2 floppy run under etch?
There's a device called fd in /dev but mount command says this is not a
block device. A device called fd0 is not there. What shall i do to get
my floppy run and usable for the normal user (not root)? Here are the
entry of /etc/fstab:
/dev/fd /media/floppy	auto	noauto,user,sync 0 0

TIA
Roman
