problem installing 4.0 an Jensen Alpha

Hi,

I have a serious problem installing Debian 4.0 on an old Jensen
type AlphaPC. That's the EISA only machine.
My box has 256MB RAM, all the usual cards, but no graphics,
so I am using serial console. The system works fine with VMS
or DEC Unix.
I can boot the netinst.iso, but I just get a kernel crash.
It looks like a problem with the serial ports, but there's little
I can do when I need serial console...

gruss,
Dennis
