There are no 2.6 kernels available for the current version of
debian-installer.

For expert mode, you would need to manually add DEBCONF_PRIORITY=low to your
boot parameters (i.e., you cannot use "-fl 0" for booting in this case).

Ah I see. Thats unfortunate. Can anyone suggest on the proper way to get
Debian working on a SATA drive from an install on another HDD? Or why my
devices seem to fail... on boot the network part doesnt give much detail
"failed to bring up eth0". OHCI Module appears to load correctly however USB
seems dead.
