Debian/sarge installer on an AlphaStation 600 5/333
Hi,
When I try to boot the Debian/sarge installer from a CD-ROM on an
AlphaStation 5, I get only the following messages and then the systems
appears to hang (no console output, no cd-rom activity):
>>> boot dka600 -fl 0
...
aboot: Linux/Alpha SRM bootloader version 0.9b
:
aboot: no disklabel found.
iso: Max size:78331 Log zone size:2048
iso: First datazone:36 Root inode number 73728

aboot: starting kernel boot/vmlinuz with arguments ramdisk_size=16384 root=/dev/ram devfs=mount,dall
The Debian/potato installer boots fine from CD-ROM, however, so it
looks to me like a kernel problem. Is the sarge installer supposed to
work on such an old system?
Thanks,
