Re: ES18xx with alsa-sound and kernel-2.6.x ?
I encountered the same problem. Somewhere I've read that the sb (8
bit) driver should be used instead - but for me it didn't work either.
Using another ISA card (SB16pnp) failed due to isapnp initialisation
error, as far as I can remember. PCI cards work well though.
Would be glad to find a solution as well.
