Hi all,
I'm a Debian users member of Synusia, the Padua's HackLab (Italy)... we
recently had our first Alpha machine, and we'd like to install Debian on it.
It's an Alpha XL266
I downloaded woody for alpha and i tried to boot from CD using MILO,
everything worked fine, but at MILO prompt when I try to load the Linux
Kernel after the detection of scsi devices it Halts giving this error:
Major devices are: fd(0002) sd(0002) sr(000B) sd(0041)
VFS: Disk change detected on device 11/0
kernel: unaligned trap at fffffc0000d46798: 303d42 2c 31
kernel: unaligned trap at fffffc0000d467a0: 303d46 2c 31
Maxsize:332672 Log zone size:2048
First datazone:52 Root inode number:106496
MILO: Failed to load the kernel
Tring to boot from a floppy i have a similar error...
Looking in the internet for a resolution I have found some other people
having the same problem, but i couldn't find an answare to solve it... I have
found only some suggestions about what the error could mean, but no solutions.
Does some of you can help me?
Thanks
benry
