Sorry, but I'd stay away from the 7000.

AFAIK, it's GPU is crippled (no TCL?) relative to the 7500, and it may
have detuned memory/memory bus compared to 7500 as well.

My experience with them has been mixed:

1. under RH 7.2 for Alpha's XFree86 4.1.0, it doesn't perform as well
   as a 7500, though it is reasonably stable.

2. under XFree86 4.3.0, it again performs less well than a 7500, and
   is unstable (hangs the machine) in certain 3D apps like "pipes".
   The hangs appear to be caused by TCL-avoiding code, as one can
   duplicate them on the 7500 by running the app with:

	RADEON_TCL_FORCE_DISABLE=1

Look around for a PCI 9100, which I found seems to work reasonably
well, though only under 4.3.0...
