Lately I tried compiling PHP 4.3.0 on alpha; the thing segfaults and dies diring make install. Obviously, it doesn't do this on my x86 box. I've reported the bug at http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=21593&edit=2 So my question at this point...has anyone else encountered this problem?
