I've prepared and tested a patch for gcc to address the -mieee issue. The patch makes -mieee the default and adds a -mieee-disable option to make it possible to reverse the default (maybe this should be called -mno-ieee). I'll submit it to either the gcc mailing list, or as a bug rebort against gcc, shortly. Comments? Suggestions? Thanks -T PS: Incidentally, I checked both LAPACK and BLAS (on which ATLAS is based). They are currently both being compiled with -mieee. -- Tyson Whitehead (-twhitehe@uwo.ca -- WSC-) Computer Engineer Dept. of Applied Mathematics, Graduate Student- Applied Mathematics University of Western Ontario, GnuPG Key ID# 0x8A2AB5D8 London, Ontario, Canada
