Yes -- the tomcat, tomcat4, and tomcat4-webapps packages are all available on
the Debian 3 (Woody) distribution CD's. Before I switched to Debian, I ran
tomcat under Red Hat 7. I'm now running tomcat4 under Debian, and it works
great. You do need to download and install a suitable JVM -- the Compaq 1.3.1
JVM works great. Also, there are some other weird dependencies, which I
haven't completely worked out. For one, it seems that you need lesstif and/or
motif -- I have the lesstif1 and libmotif packages installed. I got an error
on one of the sample JSP's until I installed the libmotif package.
